Rockstar reveals October launch of Grand Theft Auto 4, episodic ...

In the past, Grand Theft Auto titles were always the sole domain of Sony. These are the games that were on the news, in the Playstation 2s of all your friends, and all over the walls of the game stores. Liberty City Stories also did a great job of getting people excited about the PSP when the system needed a boost. It's clear that Rockstar Games and Sony get along.

Of course, in the latest console war Microsoft has gained much market share—not to mention mind share. This time around Grand Theft Auto 4 is going to be released on both the PS3 and the 360 simultaneously. This is a big boost for Microsoft's system, and a major loss for Sony's hardware; Grand Theft Auto was quite the system seller.

In the latest conference call detailing the company's financial results we learned the release date for the game: October of this year.

Is that 'Chaos' I taste?

His bandmates call him a "swell guy" and say that he's forgetful. Allman even depicts himself as being stuck in a state of distraction.

However, there are a few rumors about Allman he'd like to dispel: he's not bisexual and not a vegetarian.

"I do drink soy mochas, so I guess in a way I am vegetarian," Allman said jokingly.

His parents' love for music tranferred to him when he was young, especially his father's.

"My parents pushed music on me since I was able to crawl around," Allman said.

His father has a vast understanding of music, and the breadth of his knowledge ranges from the basics to Brazilian jazz. By absorbing and applying his father's teachings, Allman adds an essential component to the prosperous musical concoction that's The Used.

GTA IV Teaser Trailer To Debut This Month

You know what the game industry needs more of? Countdown clocks. No, seriously. It ups the excitement level through the roof, and guess what, folks, Rockstar has just thrown up a "countdown clock" at their Grand Theft Auto IV website. When that timer hits zero, we're all getting treated to the very first official trailer! The fated day is Thursday, March 29.

The last time we had any new information concerning the next GTA installment was way back in May of 2006, and since then, we've all had to sort through mountains of fake videos, screenshots, and details. Of course, the only news we have here is the teaser trailer, but that's plenty big enough, right? It's just too bad we don't have any other info regarding the video; like what it might be showing, for example. But at the very least, it seems likely we'll finally know the environment Rockstar has selected for GTA IV, and that alone is enough to make us completely and totally stoked.

euphoria is about giving people an interactive experience they have never seen before. We now have the processing power to simulate humans, and the possibilities for games are endless, said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion.

In Rockstar, we have found a partner that shares this vision, and is renowned for creating some of the most ground-breaking and immersive games in the industry, continues Reil. We are thrilled and honored to work with a partner of such high caliber, and look forward to helping create amazing titles.
