| Serving up home-cooked Chaos
Sweaty, fist-pumping punk and metal fans slammed in a massive mosh pit at the Long Beach Arena Thursday as bands of the 2007 Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour shelled out more than five hours of punk- and metal-fused music. Kevin Lyman, creator of the Vans Warped Tour, a popular nationwide punk tour, founded the Taste of Chaos tour in 2004. "Warped Tour was a summer thing, and I wanted to try something different in the winter. Thus the world of metal and punk merged to form the Taste of Chaos tour," Lyman said. This year's line-up includes Aiden, Evaline, Chiodos, Senses Fail, Saosin and headliners 30 Seconds to Mars and The Used. Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands winner Victory Within kicked off the Long Beach concert, followed by strong sets from Evaline, Aiden, Chiodos, Saosin and Senses Fail.
NaturalMotion Signs Rockstar
NaturalMotion announced today a partnership with Rockstar Games. This agreement will see the publishing label integrate the company's euphoria engine into next-gen titles. The implementation of this 3D animation technology is apparently far along, following several months of close collaboration between the two companies. "euphoria is about giving people an interactive experience they have never seen before," said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion. "We now have the processing power to simulate humans, and the possibilities for games are endless." "In Rockstar, we have found a partner that shares this vision, and is renowned for creating some of the most ground-breaking and immersive games in the industry," continues Reil. "We are thrilled and honored to work with a partner of such high caliber, and look forward to helping create amazing titles." by David Radd Comments or questions? Send them to editor@gamedaily.com .
