Based on the 1979 Paramount Pictures cult classic movie and developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with Rockstar Toronto, The Warriors expands the stylized cinematic journey of the film into a gritty interactive experience set in 1970s New York. Here is the fact sheet: The Film: A battle on the streets of New York. The armies of the night number 60,000 strong, and tonight theyre all after The Warriors-- a street gang wrongly accused of killing a rival gang leader. The Warriors must make their way from one end of New York to their turf on the other side of the city. All that stands between The Warriors and their survival are 20 miles and thousands of street gang members. The army of gangs owns the streets and theres no turning back, they must fight for their lives and learn the meaning of loyalty as danger and uncertainty emerge from the city night.The Game features: Authentic New York environments were reproduced in great detail to maintain the sense of style and atmosphere of The Warriors film.

Rockstar Games doesn't know how to court controversy? Ha! With its upcoming snuff-stealth game Manhunt 2 hitting this summer, the company has already kicked its PR machine into gear. Ben Kuchera at Opposable Thumbs received a letter from the Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Inside, were two bloody medical bracelets and a letter that read: Enclosed are Danny Lamb and Leo Kasper's ID bracelets found discarded after last night's incident. This is the only potentially damning evidence we have found so far. I trust every possible precaution will be taken to ensure that any records relating to these patients are destroyed. We are all too aware that both subjects pose a highly serious threat to society, let alone the very existence of "The Project." Both patients suffer sever psychotic episodes characterized by intense paranoia, involuntary psychotic reactions, delusional hallucinations and acute schizophrenic disorders...
[Wii, PS2, PSP] Rockstar announces Manhunt 2
Rockstar has just announced through a press release that they are indeed working on a Manhunt sequel and it is being developed not only for the PS2 and PSP, but also for the Nintendo Wii. Below are some details regarding the announcement. New York, NY - February 6, 2007 - Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation 2 system, PSP system, and Nintendo's Wii. Manhunt 2 is the debut title from the newly formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto. Manhunt 2 will be available this summer.
