| The Warriors Come Out to Play on PSP
We were supposed to run by Rockstar a few weeks back when all of us were in town for that gathering in New York City, but things didn't work out. The Rockstar guys were going to let us check out their upcoming release of The Warriors for the PSP. While I liked the PS2 game, I wasn't overly excited about the game hitting the portable so much later. But then they pointed out that the game was going to be selling for $20-ish and would have tons of multiplayer, local and wifi, features. I haven't checked it out still, so I'm not sure what the features are, but it's certainly grabbed my attention. Brian Crecente The Film: A battle on the streets of New York. The armies of the night number 60,000 strong, and tonight they're all after The Warriors-- a street gang wrongly accused of killing a rival gang leader.
Manhunt 2 announced for PS2, PSP and Wii
The years have not been kind to Rockstar's Manhunt. Originally released to good reviews and decent sales, the game's reputation among gamers has become less than stellar since. But that's not going to stop Rockstar from trying again as they have announced Manhunt 2 for the PS2, PSP and Wii. It is currently scheduled for a Summer release. The PS2 and PSP versions will be developed by Rockstar's new development house, Rockstar London, while the Wii version will be handled by Rockstar Toronto. "With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds." Rockstar was tight-lipped (as usual) about anything else.
Rockstar Mailing Bloody Manhunt Medical Bracelets
Rockstar Games doesn't know how to court controversy? Ha! With its upcoming snuff-stealth game Manhunt 2 hitting this summer, the company has already kicked its PR machine into gear. Ben Kuchera at Opposable Thumbs received a letter from the Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane. Inside, were two bloody medical bracelets and a letter that read: Enclosed are Danny Lamb and Leo Kasper's ID bracelets found discarded after last night's incident. This is the only potentially damning evidence we have found so far. I trust every possible precaution will be taken to ensure that any records relating to these patients are destroyed. We are all too aware that both subjects pose a highly serious threat to society, let alone the very existence of "The Project." Both patients suffer sever psychotic episodes characterized by intense paranoia, involuntary psychotic reactions, delusional hallucinations and acute schizophrenic disorders...
03:07 GTA IV definitely, definitely coming in October (0)
We all heard the announcement through various outlets, and we all saw the now famous tattoo sported by Peter Moore. It will be refreshing to hear then that the game is still definitely on track for the October release that was promised back at E3 last year. .
