New Nike Rockstar Class

Leading UK health club chain Holmes Place, who were recently bought out by Virgin Active, is adding another innovative class to its timetable with the launch of the new Nike Rockstar Workout Bollywood.

Bollywood is the latest dance style adopted and adapted for the Nike Rockstar Workout programme. Participants can expect a progressive series of eight Asian dance inspired fitness classes that combine great music and moves with a superb physical workout.

The dance-style workout has been devised in conjunction with internationally acclaimed celebrity choreographer Jamie King, and blends elements of Hip Hop, Bhangra and Western dance with moves seen in Bollywood movies. The fast paced workout is designed to burn calories whilst strengthening the deep abdominal and back muscles (the ‘core’) as well as working all other major muscle groups.

NaturalMotion Partners With Rockstar Games

NaturalMotion announced a partnership with publishing label Rockstar Games Inc. to integrate NaturalMotion's euphoria engine into upcoming next-gen Rockstar titles. Based on NaturalMotion's DMS technology, euphoria uses the processing power of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to simulate the human body and motor nervous system, thus creating fully interactive game characters that act differently every time. With euphoria, games move away from canned animation, toward a much richer, life-like experience that is unique to the player. "euphoria is about giving people an interactive experience they have never seen before. We now have the processing power to simulate humans, and the possibilities for games are endless," said Torsten Reil, ceo of NaturalMotion. "In Rockstar, we have found a partner that shares this vision, and is renowned for creating some of the most ground-breaking and immersive games in the industry..." Further announcements regarding specific titles will follow at a later date.

AMC Hires Tranny To Play Tranny!

ABC soap All My Children got a bit of flack when they hired Jeffrey Carlson to play their now-legendary character, rockstar Zarf (who has since become Zoe). And with good reason - it's not like there aren't any tranny actors out there. Shit, when was the last time Kim Basinger had a gig?

Anyway, those of you who scoffed will no doubt be happy to hear that they've hired Colby professor, activist and known transexual Jenny Boylan to appear in a whopping one episode. New Now Next reports that post-op Zarf (we'll never be able to accept "Zoe") attends a tranny support group and Boylan offer a bit of gender-bending guidance. Ain't that grand?

When not acting and, of course, teaching, Boylan does a bit of writing - she's published the critically-acclaimed She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders.

22:56 Manhunt 2 coming to Nintendo Wii (0)

One of the most controversial games of all time is not only getting a sequel, it is coming to the Nintendo Wii. Who said Nintendo was only for kids? Details of this rather shocking announcement after the jump.

Manhunt 2 has been announced for the PS2, PSP and…the Nintendo Wii. Rockstar's title was one of the most controversial releases in gaming history and many stores refused to stock it. It also sparked a huge media frenzy about a possible link with violent behaviour. Simply put, it caused the industry a lot of problems. In development by Rockstar London, this will be the first title from the new southern studio and will be worked on in conjunction with Rockstar North. The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto. The game will be available sometime this summer.
