GTA Hot Coffee case concluding soon

If there's one thing they probably don't like drinking around Rockstar's offices, its a nice steaming cup of Hot Coffee. That is, unless they've managed to keep their good humour more than a year after the GTA 'Hot Coffee' scandal first surfaced. Still, latest word on the street (The Register) has it that one of the numerous lawsuits surrounding the saucy mod could be about to conclude. Yes, that's right, it's the one with the New York pensioner who bought gang-violence em-up GTA San Andreas for her grandchild, unaware that the Hot Coffee mod would add further layers of devilry to the game experience.

This week, a Manhattan District Court judge suspended the case, after hope emerged that an out of court settlement could be reached between Rockstar and the granny. The Hot Coffee sex scenes saw the ESRB re-rate San Andreas from 'Mature' to 'Adults Only', with many US retailers pulling the game as pressure groups went wild, politicians waded in, and Jack Thompson continued his long-running assault on Rockstar's premier game series.

Manhunt 2 coming to a Wii, PSP and PS2 near you this summer

Rockstar Games recently announced Manhunt 2 for release on the PlayStation 2, PSP and Nintendo Wii. Manhunt 2 will be the first title produced by the recently formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with Rockstar North who created the original. The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto.

"With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds."

The dance-style workout has been devised in conjunction with internationally acclaimed celebrity choreographer Jamie King, and blends elements of Hip Hop, Bhangra and Western dance with moves seen in Bollywood movies. The fast paced workout is designed to burn calories whilst strengthening the deep abdominal and back muscles (the ‘core’) as well as working all other major muscle groups.

The down side of being up

In the back corner of the Durham Market Place the sticker on the cooler reads: "Nobody ever wishes they'd slept more during college." In the front display right as you walk in Store 24 the big display has cans in 12 and 8.3 ounces, with a poster at the top that declares: "Minds, like pencils, work better when sharp." The drink is unmistakably Red Bull, a product that dominates the energy drink industry in the United States and has become the alternative source of energy and caffeine to many students across the country.

The advertisements strive to market to young adults, promising more energy, fewer calories, and an all around better time drinking them, sometimes called "legal highs." In dorms, in homes and at bars they are the more potent alternative to the traditional cup of coffee.

Serving up home-cooked Chaos

Sweaty, fist-pumping punk and metal fans slammed in a massive mosh pit at the Long Beach Arena Thursday as bands of the 2007 Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour shelled out more than five hours of punk- and metal-fused music.

Kevin Lyman, creator of the Vans Warped Tour, a popular nationwide punk tour, founded the Taste of Chaos tour in 2004.

"Warped Tour was a summer thing, and I wanted to try something different in the winter. Thus the world of metal and punk merged to form the Taste of Chaos tour," Lyman said.

This year's line-up includes Aiden, Evaline, Chiodos, Senses Fail, Saosin and headliners 30 Seconds to Mars and The Used.

Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands winner Victory Within kicked off the Long Beach concert, followed by strong sets from Evaline, Aiden, Chiodos, Saosin and Senses Fail.
