The Warriors Come Out to Play on PSP

We were supposed to run by Rockstar a few weeks back when all of us were in town for that gathering in New York City, but things didn't work out.

The Rockstar guys were going to let us check out their upcoming release of The Warriors for the PSP. While I liked the PS2 game, I wasn't overly excited about the game hitting the portable so much later. But then they pointed out that the game was going to be selling for $20-ish and would have tons of multiplayer, local and wifi, features. I haven't checked it out still, so I'm not sure what the features are, but it's certainly grabbed my attention. Brian Crecente

The Film: A battle on the streets of New York. The armies of the night number 60,000 strong, and tonight they're all after The Warriors-- a street gang wrongly accused of killing a rival gang leader.

GTA IV: October Release Confirmed, Episodes Coming in 2008

In its financial results conference call, publisher Take Two has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV will be shipped simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in October. Take Two also announced that Rockstar will introduce in 2008 exclusive episodic content downloads for the game. It is worth mentioning that back at E3 2006, Microsoft announced a deal with Take Two's Rockstar to have exclusive episodic content for the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV. .

Jack Thompson Hunts Manhunt 2

Only a few weeks after announcing Manhunt 2 will appear on store shelves in 2007, Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive got bomblasted by Florida lawyer and violent video game critic Jack Thompson. Of course, this shouldn't come as a surprise, considering the outspoken lawyer has attacked every recent Rockstar video game release except perhaps Table Tennis.

Although not confirmed, there is good reason to believe that a post on a Manhunt forum from Thompson himself outlined his early opposition to Manhunt 2 and the developers behind it at the request of concerned UK citizens. Thompson said in the post, "The game will feature stealth murder and torture. The last version allowed suffocation of victims with plastic bags...Take-Two / Rockstar...is lying to the public on both sides of the pond in stating this week that the game had nothing to do with the murder."

The murder he speaks of involved a 14 year-old boy in the United Kingdom getting bludgeoned to death with a hammer.
