GTA IV features Euphoria physics

Now here's a story for anti-freedom lawyer Jack Thompson, his nemesis Rockstar Games has announced it will be making use of NaturalMotion's Euphoria physics engine for several future titles, most likely including Grand Theft Auto IV.

If you've seen those impressive Indiana Jones demo movies from LucasArts, where Indy throws around a bunch of bad guys and breaks scenery then you'll know what an impressive slice of code the Euphoria Engine is.

According to NaturalMotion, Euphoria on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will, "simulate the human body and motor nervous system, thus creating fully interactive game characters that act differently every time. With euphoria, games move away from canned animation, towards a much richer, life-like experience that is unique to the player."

"Euphoria is about giving people an interactive experience they have never seen before," said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion.

Manhunt 2 Coming To Wii, PS2, PSP

Take-Two announced today that Rockstar Games will be bringing the sequel to its controversial, ultra-violent snuff-stealth game Manhunt to the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable this summer.

Game development is being handled by the newly formed Rockstar London with a little help from the original Manhunt team, Rockstar North. Wii porting duties will be helmed by Rockstar Toronto (The Warriors). We'll assume that Rockstar Leeds will handle the PSP version, as their expertise lies in the handheld arena.

As a huge Manhunt fan/sadist, this is nearing the top of my most wanted list for 2007. One can only imagine the exciting new ways in which the Wii controller will be used to brutally and flamboyantly murder the dozens of street toughs your character is forced to exterminate.

Bloody Manhunt 2 Details Revealed

Rockstar recently announced their plans to bring their ultra-violent Manhunt series to Nintendos Wii, but that was all they had to say until now. We now know some of the gameplay and story details you can expect when the game is released.

The originals setting and main character, James Earl Cash, are gone. This time around, gamers will play as Dr. Daniel Lamb, a scientist who was working on a secret weapons program before being trapped in an insane asylum by his employers, a secretive group known only as The Project. Joining Lamb will be one of the asylums inmates, a psychopath by the name of Leo Kasper who acts as lambs tutor in the science of death.

Returning from the original game are the three levels of kills: Hasty, Violent, and Gruesome. Joining the fine art of murder are special, environment specific executions that allow Dr.
