Manhunt 2 confirmed. Horror is coming to Wii

Yep, Rockstar has officially confirmed that Manhunt 2 is in development for PS2, PSP and Wii - Nintendo has apparently been courting Rockstar for months and until now it's been assumed that the manufacturer was after GTA. Now it seems they had darker ambitions. For those who've lived in an Amish commune for the last five years, Manhunt put the player in the role of an ex-con who is baited into murdering a series of gang members and riff-raff for the pleasure of a sadistic voyeur. It is just about as far from Wario Ware as you could possibly get.

The Playstation versions are being developed by Rockstar's new London studio (although Leeds might have bagged the PSP port) - both under the watchful eye of Rockstar North. The Wii translation is in the hands of Rockstar Toronto, previously responsible for Warriors.

15:40 Rockstar feeling euphoric at new deal (0)

With Epic's Unreal Engine 3 being all the rage at the moment, you might forgive developers for overlooking other options, since UE3 has proven its capabilities. Congratulate Rockstar then for doing something different. They have partnered up with NaturalMotion who developed the Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS) technology. The deal allows Rockstar to incorporate NaturalMotion's new "euphoria" engine into upcoming games.

No-one expects you to understand what the hell DMS is, but thankfully research has been done and here are the results. The "euphoria" engine brings (DMS) onto the next generation of hardware.

With euphoria, animations are not canned but are generated on-the-fly by the CPU as the game is played. Every tackle is your tackle, every haymaker is your haymaker.

Basically, It Stinks, Too rakes in Raspberries

The last time Sharon Stone won a major award was in 2003, when she recieved an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series during an appearance on the television series The Practice.

Her drought is finally over as she was awarded the Golden Raspberry for Worst Actress for her role in Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction, or as the Razzies likes to call it, Basically, It Stinks, Too.

Instinct was the big winner Saturday night, picking up Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay and Worst Sequel.

Little Man was a close second, earning Razzies for Worst Actor (Marlon and Shawn Wayans), Worst Screen Couple and Worst Remake/Rip-Off.

And how far has M. Night Shyamalan fallen? Once the rockstar of Hollywood for such films like The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, he now gets the nod for Worst Director and Worst Supporting Actor for Lady in the Water.
