| Xbox 360 Review: Crackdown
While the Crackdown hype machine has been growing and growing over the past few months, I think some misconceptions have gotten into some gamers heads about what exactly Crackdown is. To be brief, its spectacular. Thats a little vague though, so what exactly are you getting when you open up your wallet at your local games retailer? Are you getting another sandbox Grand Theft Auto clone? Ha GTA wishes it was this much fun. Are you getting some mild distraction to tide you over until the Halo 3 Beta comes around? No way. Crackdown isnt just fun, its the best superhero game you will ever play. Well, that is until Crackdown 2 comes out. But that's another story for another time. Crackdown takes place in the fictional metropolis of Pacific City, where gangs have taken over the three main islands that it's comprised of.
Ask the Ethics Guy
Apparently one of my employees told him that he could dine anytime between 6 a.m. and noon, so he assumed that he could grab a meal before his early flight out. However, we do not begin serving until 7 a.m., so it was not possible to meet my guest's needs on his last day with us. I decided to make an unfortunate situation better by refunding him a full night's fee. My husband thinks that I should have simply given him back the cost of the breakfast. He says that being too generous is just as bad as not being generous enough. What do you think? A: Your husband is correct that it is possible to give too much of oneself, but I don't think your response fits this category. Although the ethical principle of fairness (what I call Life Principle No. 4) did require you to right the wrong, your going above and beyond the call of duty is praiseworthy.
Manhunt 2 Coming To Wii, PS2, PSP
Take-Two announced today that Rockstar Games will be bringing the sequel to its controversial, ultra-violent snuff-stealth game Manhunt to the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable this summer. Game development is being handled by the newly formed Rockstar London with a little help from the original Manhunt team, Rockstar North. Wii porting duties will be helmed by Rockstar Toronto (The Warriors). We'll assume that Rockstar Leeds will handle the PSP version, as their expertise lies in the handheld arena. As a huge Manhunt fan/sadist, this is nearing the top of my most wanted list for 2007. One can only imagine the exciting new ways in which the Wii controller will be used to brutally and flamboyantly murder the dozens of street toughs your character is forced to exterminate.
